Most rooms have eastern and western exposures as well as inglenooks. One of the bedrooms is a bunk room for children (5 beds). Relax in the steam room or sauna. The Great Room has a cozy alcove, cushy seating and a fireplace in front of the trestle table where dinners are served. The terrace overlooking the pool is ideal for breakfasts and lunches.
The best place for sunsets is the sheltered, west facing porch. All windows offer spectacular views of the island and its surroundings. The home has been recently landscaped and was remodeled in 1994 as a light and airy summer retreat. A staff is available for cooking and cleaning. Electricity and telephone available.
Relax in the sauna or steam room; swim and sun in and around the salt water pool or on one of the two private beaches; explore hidden coves and lagoon; take boat excursions, fish, water sports (equipment provided), billiard, darts and board games, go bird watching or seal and whale watching in the area. The Boothbay region also offers sailing, fishing, golf and tennis. Nearby there are hiking trails in the Camden Hills State Park.
You can also make excursion to the well-known retreat Monhegan Island. Dine by the fireplace in the Great Room or enjoy breakfast and lunch on the terrace overlooking the pool. The chefs bountiful meals are based on the islands home-grown vegetables, Maine fresh seafood and home-baked bread. Price includes all foods and beverages as well as preparation by a chef.
