Antique complex established in 1400, when the city walls of S. Gimignano, built in 1260, were enlarged to accomodate the church Sant'Agostino. In the 1700's the complex became an agricultural farm, the owners being the family Strozzi and from 1877 the owners were the family Giucciardini, noblemen of Florence. In the outbuilding in the center of the famous Tuscan city there were 8 apartments built with particular attention to maintaing the original structure and typical materials (wooden beams, terracotta flooring).
