As soon as you cross the main door, you find a large, welcoming room that serves as kitchen, dining room and sitting room. The wood and granite cooking area, built by a local craftsman, has a
cooking surface, electric oven and a large fridge. In the living area there is a stone fireplace to warm you during the cold days. There is a 32' television, a common interface satellite decoder, a DVD player and a powerful stereo equipment. On the ground floor you also find one of the two bathrooms, and a small storage area. Upstairs there's the sleeping area: a bathroom and three bedrooms, two of which are adjacent to a spacious and characteristic Garfagnana roof terrace (altana) from which you can admire the Apuan peaks.
Outside, under the covered structure, there is a long tavern as well as a wood-burning oven for pizzas, bread or grilled meats: a nice place for parties!
It is possible to reach the centre of Castelnuovo Garfagnana in just 5 minutes by car, Barga in 25, Lucca in 50, Pisa and the seaside in 1 h 20 min, Florence in 2 h.

The view is even more suggestive during the autumn-winter season when the trees in the natural amphitheatre that surrounds the estate are a blaze of golden yellow and the mountains are dusted with snow.
You reach the estate on a road that passes through a thick chestnut wood, and as soon as you enter the gate you immediately notice the villa: an old house that has been completely rebuilt (works finished in 2003) respecting the original style, as demonstrated by the mandolata and the two windows that flank the front door. 25 acres of land surround the house: that will be surely appreciated by families and children who can enjoy it as their own playground.
In summer, you can enjoy the swimming pool with an original waterfall and the solarium. In order to guarantee your maximum privacy and quiet, the house, the swimming pool and the entire estate are for the exclusive use of the guests of this property.
The property is very near to the mini-market for food supply (800 meters), also the bus stop is only 800 meters far from the house . The main center , Castelnuovo Garfagnana (you can find there shops,restaurants,tourist informations.....) is 1,6 km far from the villa . Castelnuovo has its own railway station which is linked with the most important cities of Tuscany (Lucca,Pisa,Florence......) . In Castelnuovo there are also taxi and bus services . The house is on 2 floors: on the ground floor there is a large room, which is attached to a typical 'loggia' of the Garfagnana , with kitchen, dining and sitting areas, bathroom and storage room; upstairs there are 3 bedrooms (two of which have views of the Apuan Alps) and a large bathroom. One has a double bed; one has 2 twin beds; the third bedroom features 3 single beds, with the possibility of adding a 4th bed. Total beds: 7+1. The house is heated by radiators and by a stone fireplace in the living room.
Included amenities (in the price): satellite 32' TV (don?t forget to bring your own Smart card), a powerful stereo system, Dvd player, dishwasher and washing machine, microwave oven (in addition to the electric oven), wood oven for pizzas, 2 mountain bikes, linens and towels (changed weekly), alarm system, children cot, welcome gift (normally pastries and prosecco wine).
